PROPOSED THREE DAYS EXPERIENCE ALONG THE COAST
DAY 1: CAPE COAST AND ELMINA CASTLE
Breakfast
Depart Accra for a Cape Coast arrive and visit Cape Coast Castle built by the Swedes in 1652 and later taken over by the British, for a conducted tour. This Castle served as the seat of the former colonial administration of the then Gold Coast (Ghana’s former name) till 1877 when it was relocated to Accra. The Castle also houses the West African Historical Museum. The guide will conduct you to the slave quarters and Palaver Hall where slaves were bargained for and sold.
Lunch (on your own). After lunch, continue to visit the Elmina Castle built by the Portuguese in 1482, for a comprehensive guided tour. The Castle is the first European structure built in Sub-Saharan Africa. View its architecture and distinct features. Check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure
Dinner (on your own). Overnight: Coconut Groove Beach Resort B/L

DAY 2: NZULEZO VILLAGE ON STILTS
Breakfast check out
Depart your hotel for Beyin. Your first challenge is a visit by foot and by hand-paddled canoe to the village on stilts, Nzulezo. This village is built entirely on Amansure Lake. Interact with the villagers who live on this large lake.
Return to the mainland for lunch at Beyin Beach Resort.
Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at the beach.
Dinner (on your own). Optional: Proceed on a turtle watching experience after dinner (extra cost)

DAY 3: KAKUM NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast
Depart Beyin for Kakum National Park. Go on a walk of the ‘Kuntan Trail” with its countless trees with medicinal properties. For the young, at heart experience, the “Canopy Walkway” is suspended 100 feet from the forest ground for a panoramic view of the flora and fauna of the remaining vestiges of the rainforest.
Lunch at Hans Cottage Botel. View the resident crocodile as you enjoy your meals.
After lunch continues to Accra. Drive along the coast through several fishing villages and coconut tree-lined beaches.Arrive in Accra by late afternoon.
